Notes:
What is the difference between Audit Trail and Log Trail (currently found in admin) ?
User should be able to change pw in User/Teams not in a standalone nav element that is actually a popup
Need to figure out what is preconfigured by TF. Anything that is preconfigured should (or even profiled) should have some sort of TF indication.
Trust profiles - (previously profiles and APDs)
Trust Map - (previously realm)
Real-time Alerts - (previously alerts)
We should avoid using Black list and White list. We should start using Block listing and Allow listing.
Adding info via a form, the information should be displayed with the same titles and order.
(i tried adding an application and got 3-4 levels deep on a modal which then allowed me to add regions and it was confusing. i’m sure a pro would argue that this is a great feature. i feel it lends to making mistakes.
Big need to:
- Fix or have a better “search” (grid filter and how it works today is not user centered but engineered centered.
- Rule builder
- Complex filtering based on a rule builder
- these patterns then should be consistent throughout
What is preset or preconfigured?
Classifiers - these are determined through behavioral analytics - profiling
(user edits these there should be some kind of indicator that they were edited?)
Global Trust Profiles (APDs) look like they are Global APDs based on OS (process)
Security Manifests (there should be an indicator that these CIS) - user should not be able to change these unless they copy these, and there should be an icon to indicate they were or now user controlled
Global Policies ?
Registered Workflows
Applications:
- what order do these get added. i can find a rhyme or reason for how they get added.
- Ask Erik - when adding a application can we just default to the Bushido team as default and have them manage the teams assoc with application under teams tabs?
Log Trail:
The Log Trail - this is confusing to me. this seems like a tool for TrueFort. Not a user. Do we expose are tools in how we do things to our customers. ie, Katana, Persister, Kotoba, Ashigau, Hoko, Shogun, and Makato. as a first time user, i have no clue what any of these actually mean, or how they help in protecting my applications. imo this should be pulled out and managed else where. No? it would be interesting to see data as to how often this is used by our end users and by customer success/sales eng.
Regardless, having an Audit Trail (Utilities) and something called Log Trail (in Admin) is confusing overall.

ORGANIZATION MANAGEMENT
Note:
this should be a slide over, acting as full page modal.
the subnav should not be shown.
puts user in the mode of focusing. they can easily close this to move on to select something else.
providing that separation helps the user to know where they are, the focus and what they are configuring.
