Application and Roles
Business Application and Roles (services) are made up of workloads; workloads are something that does some work, ie server, VM, container
Applications have Roles (services) that are specific services within the business applications.
Workloads are discrete operating systems (os endpoint) that does some work. examples VM, server, container (host platform). Workloads can be running in private data centers or cloud environments.
These workloads can have an agent running on them to collect telemetry.
Some may not have an agent, and in that case we can only monitor the connections.
consider - cases - include workstations
maybe an application all together.
workload and workstations - (what dep they are part of? finance, it, hr)
business unit layer
may not want to use bu, but their own role.
use case - moving to cloud - segment - risk where they have attackers not only moving laterally servers but workstations to another.
